Black & White James Buchanan & Co. Blended Malt Spring Cap
An old bottling of James Buchanan & Co's Black & White blended malt famed for the brand's mascots, Blackie, a black Scottish Terrier, and Whitey, a white West Highland Terrier. Estimated to date from the 1960s, this bottle features a spring cap.
The nose is complex with a mixture of sherry and earthy peat, but there's also port, marzipan, almonds and leather. The palate has more prominent peat and sweet sherried notes with raisins and sultanas, milk chocolate and heather honey. The finish is warming with a nice texture.

How W Club auctions work
Bids must be submitted in increments of £25 (increment values vary per auction). Auctions run until their closing date, or until bidding is exhausted.
When an auction is coming to a close, each new bid will extend the auction to allow bidders reasonable time to submit a new high bid.
Completed auctions and winning bids
An auction is complete if no higher bids are received within a short period of the current high bid, after the closing date of the auction.
Enter the maximum bid you are willing to pay for an item and we'll automatically bid in £25 increments (increment values vary per auction) up to that value – so you avoid missing out on popular items or paying more than you want.
You can watch any item, and we'll send you an email notification when new bids are placed. If you are the highest bidder, we'll send you an email if someone else bids a higher amount.
