Black Bowmore 50 Year Old - The Last Cask
First distilled on 5th November 1964 at the Bowmore distillery on Islay under the watchful eye of Master Distiller, Eddie MacAffer, Black Bowmore 50 Year Old, The Last Cask to be Rediscovered, is a whisky aged to perfection. Over the years, this series has become one of the rarest and most sought-after single malt whiskies ever created, with only 159 bottles of the 50 year old released worldwide.
Deep aromas of soft, sweet, exotics fruits are complemented by Bowmore's characteristic peat smoke on the nose. The palate has a sublime elegance from half a century in the cask, with tropical fruit notes of mango, papaya and pineapple as well as honeyed black truffle. The finish is long and lingering with an Islay seabreeze throughout.
Please examine the images of the lot carefully, including any packaging and labels, to inspect the condition of the item before placing a bid.
Auction ends sometime after 6pm on Friday 8th September.
How W Club auctions work
Bids must be submitted in increments of £25 (increment values vary per auction). Auctions run until their closing date, or until bidding is exhausted.
When an auction is coming to a close, each new bid will extend the auction to allow bidders reasonable time to submit a new high bid.
Completed auctions and winning bids
An auction is complete if no higher bids are received within a short period of the current high bid, after the closing date of the auction.
Enter the maximum bid you are willing to pay for an item and we'll automatically bid in £25 increments (increment values vary per auction) up to that value – so you avoid missing out on popular items or paying more than you want.
You can watch any item, and we'll send you an email notification when new bids are placed. If you are the highest bidder, we'll send you an email if someone else bids a higher amount.
