Old Pulteney 12yo, 43%

Honey, ripe peach, brine, and apricot on the nose, unripe banana and green fruit on the palate, with some tangy, salt and pepper and sweet and sour notes, and traces of citrus fruits. This has a spicy and tingling finish, but relatively short.

 

GlenDronach 12yo, 40%

Mint-flavoured toffee on the nose, with vanilla. Sherry, winey notes, berries. The palate has fresh cranberry and blueberry juice, peppery, no cloying sweetness, Highland peat carpet. The finish is medium, savoury and peaty.

 

BenRiach Arumaticus Fumosus 12yo, 46%

The nose is a delightful mix of smoke and sweet fruits. The palate is a mix of peat fire, smoking embers, and some yellow fruits. Very sweet, with pink candy, dark roast coffee, cinnamon. The finish is long, sweet and smoky.

BenRiach Importanticus Fumosus 12yo, 46%

The nose is a somewhat confused mix of rich wine and fruits, briney coastal, rich peat and some floral and vanilla notes. The palate is sweet, with lemon and grapefruit, full port notes and a heavy dose of smoke and peat. The finish is long, rich and lingering.

BenRiach 12yo, 43%

The nose consists of rich blend of fruits, vanilla and honey. Classic Speyside. On the palate is honey, ripe fruits, vanilla and barley. Balanced, rounded and pleasant. The finish is medium long with summer fruits.

 

Balvenie Signature 12yo 40%

The nose consists of pencil shavings, dry, woody, dusty, sweet satsuma and orange. It’s very complex. The taste is sharp, made up of clean barley and fruit cake. An array of orange fruits, including tangerine and mandarin. The finish is pleasant, medium long and fruity.
